முதல் அத்யாயம் 

சுலோகம்  9

अन्ये  च बहवः शूरा मदर्थे तयक्तजीविता: |

नानाशस्त्रप्रहरणा : सर्वे युद्दविशारदा: ||

அன்யே ச பஹவஹ ஷூரா மதர்தே த்யக்தஜீவிதாஹா |

நானாஷஸ்த்ரப்ரஹரனாஹா ஸர்வே  யுத்தவிஷாரதாஹா ||

Continuing from yesterday , Dhuryodhana says "And there are so many alongside us who are equipped with all type of war weapons, and who are ready to sacrifice their lives for me, skilled in all weapons. 

தொடர்கிறது : துர்யோதனன் கூறினான் " இவர்களை தவிர நம் படையில் அஸ்த்ர ஷஸ்தரத்தில் (weapon knowledge), மிகவும் வீரர்கலானவரும்  எனக்காக தன்  வாழ்க்கையை தியாகம் செய்வர்தற்கு தயாராக உள்ளனர் "
